A staggering 140,000 people were left dead or missing. Some 2.4 million were injured or displaced or otherwise drastically impacted, their lives shattered.
LeSEA Global Feed the Hungry rushed in with emergency food, and water purification systems and funds to build temporary shelters for families that lost everything.
Partnering with an organization called FGA led by Pastor D. Mung, we expressed the love of Jesus in the most practical and tangible ways possible.
But today, there is a serious problem. Thousands are still--a full year later-- in desperate need of shelters and homes. Many of Pastor Mung’s church members are still sleeping on the ground or under whatever makeshift cover they can find.
Consider giving an emergency gift today to help us get people off the ground and into simple houses – homes they can call their own.
Pastor Mung and the churches urgently need help. Our goal is to build 125 new houses and working latrines in areas where families have the most serious immediate needs.
It only takes $700 to build a solid, modest house for a family in Myanmar. But to build 125 houses will take $87,500 -- plus $2,500 to transport volunteer workers into the area. So we have an urgent, immediate need of $90,000 for new houses.
Emergency water, water purification, and digging wells will take another $41,000. So the total need is $131,000.
A gift of any amount will be a huge help. Thank you for your compassion towards the people of Myanmar!
